FROM THE CHAIR

Mail from the Chair - number 66

10/11/2014

Dear North Enfield,

I hope this mail finds everyone in good spirits, our cricket season is now almost put to bed for 2014, but there are a few things to let you know about.

A few more things from me,

1.  Kathryn tells me that Dinner + Dance tickets continue to sell fast.  She has had a couple of sit downs with Stuart and most arrangements are now taken care of, please contact Kathryn on 07815 858931 or email kathrynscott78@gmail.com with any questions or requests.  I look forward to seeing you there.....

2.  Congratulations to Chris Gillman for winning this years President's Putter.  We had a great turnout at Panshanger a couple of weeks back.  Thanks especially to Ben Conway for arranging the event and the weather.

3.  As you know I have tried in recent years to promote closer ties to other grassroots clubs, schools and societies in Enfield.  Well James Barber from Enfield Ignatians (http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/enfieldignatians/) sent me a mail earlier today which I hope will be of interest, especially to our Junior members and parents

"I just wanted to let you know that the rugby club are having a couple of open days this Sunday & the Sunday after (16th & 24th Nov) between 10am-11am. The aim is the current players bring friends & family down & there are cups of tea & bacon rolls on the club afterwards. Therefore if either or both of your boys fancy it please bring them along. Also if you know anyone else that may be interested that are of primary school age please feel free to pass this information on."

I say it in every mail because it is true; NECC is as much your club as it is mine and all of us on Management.  If you have any ideas, suggestions, observations or thoughts about anything re. North Enfield CC then please let me know.

Many thanks for reading my mails and with very best wishes
James
